Hello my name is Megan and I’m aspiring to become a published writer, whether that’s through journalism, a novel, or a screenplay. I’m passionate about my chosen profession and can’t wait to further my journey to pursuing my dreams!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Sweet Briar College and am currently attending Full Sail University’s online program for their Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I’m currently an Associate Editor for Automotive.com, where I have been lucky enough to combine my love for the written word with my passion for cars. This is one direction I hope my life continually takes me.

As a recent college graduate, I’ve had to think about where I want my life to go. Should I up and move and wait for the job to follow? Should I get a job where I can and then move after I’ve saved up enough money? What field do I want to get into? What field can I get into? Answering these questions was hard –is hard- but I’m the type of person who pushes through struggles and comes out on top.

Although I may be young, I’ve had some amazing and hard experineces that have tought me so much in life. I look at the world, not from the eyes of most people my age, but from those of someone who is more mature, able to see the big picture.

Through my blog I hope to share with everyone my thoughts and experiences in the writing arena and in life as a whole. I will talk about what I’m currently involved in, what I hope to become involved in, and everything in between.  I want to share what I have learned over the years, from my professors or other professionals in the industry, as well as hear from you on what you think was vital to your learning or success.

Comment on a post you like. Tell me why. Have any questions about anything? Let me know! I’d love to answer any and all questions you have. Don’t feel comfortable leaving a comment but still want to contact me? Shoot me an email. I want to make myself available to you.

  1. Oh! By the way, my goal is to sit down with Elon Musk this year. Want to join me? Maybe working as a team might bring this to fruition.
Also I would love you to do a review on the Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid, and how it stands up to the other hybrids.

    • Thanks so much for thinking of me in your endeavor! Unfortunately as I have a non-compete contract with Automotive.com, I can’t write anything automotive for another publication. Also, Automotive.com will be doing a hybrid sedan comparison in February, where the Hyundai Sonata is included. I can’t give any more details away, but I will send you a like as soon as it’s published, if you would like.

  2. The comparison with your magazine is what I was hoping for.
A meeting with Elon Musk should excite your magazine as well as both of us. He and I are both South Africans in past history.

    • I will ask my higher ups and see if we can work something out. I know we would like to have an interview, but I just have to make sure I play it by the book.
